These teams are growing fast, and we would love to have you jump in. Check out our top three serving opportunities: OAKS KIDS Join the fun and be part of something bigger on the Oaks Kids Dream Team! Whether you greet families at check-in, lead kids through small groups, or be a calming presence in the nursery, there’s a place for your unique gifts. Every moment you serve helps kids feel seen, loved, and excited to grow in their faith. We have both Sunday and Wednesday opportunities to serve at Oaks Kids. You could be why a child can’t wait to return next time! OAKS YOUTH The Next Generation needs you more than you know! Oaks Youth exists to help students know Jesus and make Him known, and we would love to partner with you to see that become a reality in the lives of teenagers in Ellis County and South Dallas. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing and walking with young people as they step into all God has for them. We have available Wednesday night serve opportunities, office Dream Team, and special event teams. WELCOME TEAMS Our Welcome Teams are the heartbeat of hospitality, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere every Sunday and Wednesday. Whether you’re guiding guests in the parking lot, greeting at the doors, assisting at the Connect Center, or helping in the auditorium, your friendly presence makes a lasting impact. By serving, you help newcomers feel at home and ensure everyone experiences the love and community our church offers. Step into a role where your smile can lead someone closer to God! JOIN THE DREAM TEAM FREQUENTLY ASKED Who can be on the Dream Team? At the Dream Team, there's a place for everyone! The first step to joining is attending Growth Track. Here, we will help you discover more about your gifts, connect with people, and learn more about the Oaks Church! Age Restrictions: Students must be in the 6th grade and up to serve! If your child wants to serve, the age minimum is 8 years old, and they must serve with a parent the entire time. How can I join the Dream Team? Everyone’s first step to joining the Dream Team is attending Growth Track. This class happens every first and third Sunday of the month at 10 AM in the Growth Track room, and it takes one session to complete. You can sign up for Growth Track here. Your second step is attending Dream Team Orientation. This class happens every second and fourth Sunday of the month at 10 AM in the Growth Track room, and it takes one session to complete. After you attend both classes, you can officially join the Dream Team! How often am I required to serve? The answer is completely up to you! Everyone’s schedule is unique. However, it’s not uncommon to have team members serve every week because it’s truly their favorite part of the weekend. There’s just nothing better than seeing people’s lives changed by Jesus. Every single time you serve, you get to be a part of someone’s story. Are there any teams for young students to serve? Our kids and youth students love serving, and we love having them! There are opportunities for students in 6th through 12th grades to serve on teams without their parents. There are also opportunities for parents and children to serve together—we ask your child to be at least 8 years old to serve with you. Like adults, our students attend Growth Track and Dream Team Orientation as their first step to joining the Dream Team. What if I become part of the team, but need to pause or stop serving? We understand that life comes in seasons, and sometimes you may need to step back—and that’s okay. If something changes in your schedule, health, or personal life, just let your team leader know. Our goal is to support you, not pressure you. You’re always welcome to rejoin when you’re ready! I stopped serving in the past, but now I am ready to get back on the Dream Team. What is my next step? Welcome back! We’re so glad you’re ready to jump back in! Your next step is to fill out the Dream Team interest form or contact your former team leader. Oaks Women exists to support, love, and connect women in our community. Each time we gather, we’ll connect to each other and to God —to His Word and His voice as well as to His purpose we impact our community by investing in our local partners. Kingdom Builders is our response to what God is calling us to as a church. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus says: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Together we honor this command of Jesus by equipping the next generation and families, engaging and serving our communities, and expanding the Kingdom of God. Kingdom Builders invests in local church expansion, global missions and the next generation.
