Week 3 - Believe for Breakthrough | Day 15 - Breakthrough is Possible

Today marks the start of our third week of the fast. In week one, we focused on remembering who God is. Last week, we listened for His voice. Now, our focus is to believe for breakthrough. This is the week to actively put our faith into action—choosing to pray boldly and trust God for change in our circumstances, behaviors, minds, hearts, and relationships.

SCRIPTURE -  Isaiah 43:18-19

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

OBSERVATION

Homeless, captive, downcast, and heartbroken—that’s how the nation of Israel feels when they hear this prophecy. Their world is in chaos, and it’s easy for them to be completely consumed by how wrong everything seems. But even in the middle of their mess, God speaks. He calls them to look beyond their circumstances and recognize that He is doing something new. He is making a way through hundreds of miles of wilderness to bring them physically and spiritually home.

At their lowest moment, God reminds His people to lift their eyes and see His hand at work. That same invitation is for us today: to trust that He is doing something new, even when all we can see is the wilderness.

APPLICATION

In the middle of your lowest moments, God sees you. Just as He did thousands of years ago to a nation in captivity, He calls you today to forget the former things and open your eyes to what He is doing now. Breakthrough isn’t just possible—it’s for you.

Letting go of the pain of your past isn’t easy. If we hold onto it too long, that pain can shape us, turning into bitterness, anger, or sorrow that blocks our ability to trust in God’s goodness and believe in His plans. But God invites us to release it, to stop looking back, and instead to move forward in faith.

When we fix our eyes on what’s ahead—trusting that the best is yet to come, that God’s work in us isn’t finished—our hearts begin to change. Joy overflows, and faith grows. Jesus is here, and anything is possible. He’s doing a new thing. He is with us and working even now.

PRAYER

Take a moment to pause and think about the biggest battle you’re facing right now. Do you believe breakthrough is possible in that area of your life? It is. God wants victory for you even more than you do, and He is ready to help you pursue it. Don’t let fear, doubt, or the weight of the past keep you from stepping into the new thing God is doing in your life.

"God, thank you for being with me in my lowest moments. Right now, in the middle of this battle, help me believe that breakthrough is possible. I want to let go of my past and see the new thing you’re doing. Even when I don’t feel it, I declare with faith that you CAN move in this area of my life. Strengthen my trust and build my faith today. In Jesus’ name, amen."

I have been praying something similar to this for my son. I just want his relationship with God to be stronger than it has been.

Lord I thank You for the breakthrough that is coming in my family. I thank You that You are in control and I know that only with You is it possible. You are my Provider, my Healer, my Father. I praise You for what is to come and the testimony I will share of Your goodness and work through my family Lord. Nothing that I can do, but everything You have done and will continue to do through me. Hallelujah!
