Serve Day is an amazing opportunity to serve our community and show the love of Jesus. How it began. "What would it look like if we got as many people as possible to serve our local schools and partners on one day, together, all across Ellis and South Dallas county?" This question jumpstarted Serve Day in 2021, and we've seen an incredible impact in our community relationships and church health as we've continued this annual event. The goal? To mobilize our church to be the hands and feet of Jesus to serve institutions that touch the lives of families every day in our region. The impact? Meeting tangible needs and demonstrating a heart of service. God's people come alive when they sacrifice and serve, just as Jesus modeled. When we love others as He did, putting their needs first, we are living out the example He set for us, and our spirits are refreshed and strengthened as we live the way Jesus called us to. Oaks Church is PROUD to serve alongside 42 local, mission, and global partners who are spreading the gospel and offering aid to people in need around the globe. Trips 2025 Missions Trips MAY 2025 Youth: Dallas Dream Center May 11th This team will be serving with the Dallas Dream Center to facilitate their adopt-a-block program, which includes a grocery and housegood drive, kids ministry, and prayer for local member of the community. REGISTER NOW JUN 2025 Youth: Costa Rica June 29th to July 5th The Costa Rica team will partner with One Hope Ministries, serving in services at schools and detention centers, as well as some building projects. They will be helping be the hands and feet of One Hope through the Local Church taking hope and providing tangible needs to those who need it most. REGISTER NOW JUL 2025 Young Adults: Italy July 1st to 8th Oaks Young Adults is going on missions this Summer! We hope to take a group of young adults to Italy and to mobilize them in reaching the next generation in a post Christian Europe and spark a passion for missions here in the U.S. I'M INTERESTED JUN 2025 Youth: LA Dream Center June 16th to 21st The LA Dream Center team will partner with the Los Angeles Dream Center, one of the most established and well-respected ministries reaching the vulnerable populations in the city, including the homeless and trafficking victims and those at risk. The team will be serving in various feeding and housing projects, as well as evangelism and kids ministry. REGISTER NOW JUN 2025 Youth: Arlington June 30th to July 2nd This Global YTH Trip will be working Mission Arlington to provide for tangible needs right in our own back yard. They will also be putting together and facilitating a Children's program to see local kids say yes to Jesus, find freedom from fear, and walk in joy. REGISTER NOW AUG 2025 Adults: Honduras August 30th to September 5th Missions Partner: One Hope. Helping with school distribution using the Book of Hope and LeonEl, church ministry and a film. Serving a girls home and ministry to children in a pediatric ward.
