MEET KATE About Kate Guajardo Kate’s family: In 2009 I married my best friend, Aaron. Since then we’ve added the greatest kids to our family; Penelope, Silas, and our new edition, Eleanora. Ministry Role: I serve as the Kids and Family Director by leading and developing the weekly service and events. Oaks Kids is for kids ages 0 to 5th grade. Regular coffee order: I like to change it up. Pike’s Place, Vanilla Latte, Caramel Macchiato, and Flat Whites are all in my regular rotation. Favorite movies: I really don’t like rewatching movies unless it’s Disney classics or my absolute favorite, You’ve Got Mail. Favorite Sports: College Football. Favorite Band/Music: I have 2 Spotify playlists: Bethel Worship & Disney. Favorite Books: Loving Your Kids on Purpose by Danny Silk & Anonymous by Alicia Chole. Favorite TV Shows: Lost, King of Queens, and This is Us. Favorite scripture: Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” People who inspire me: I am fascinated by people who spend a lifetime devoted to God’s call on their life. I love to hear the stories of a life well lived! Weird quirks: I really love connecting with people. So if I run into someone I haven’t seen in a really long time, I feel the need to approach them and remind them how they know me. I’ve embarrassed myself more times than I’d like to admit when people don’t reciprocate with the same excitement I have to reconnect with them. One thing that most people don’t know about me: Aaron and I were youth pastors for 8 years at a bilingual church in New Mexico. So I like to think I can speak Spanish, pero hablo solomente poquito Español. When and where I got saved: Just about every week in Children’s Church. Least Favorite Thing to Do: I really do not like hanging out at the mall (at least not since 8th grade). Hidden talent: I like to think that I know all the lyrics to songs. Tell us about your family: I have been married to Jason Forte for 21 years. I have 6 kids, Gianna 19, Ava and Mia 14, Leo 11, Elisa and Carina 7. What is your regular coffee order? Hot chai latte with almond milk. Who are the people that inspire you? Military families and families with special needs kids. What is one thing that most people don't know about you? I have 2 sets of identical girl twins. Ironically, the sets look nothing alike! Do you have any weird quirks? If the weather permits, I love to garden barefoot. MEET KAYLA About Kayla Pavao What is your Ministry Role? Creative Director. When and where did you get saved? At my church in Maui - King’s Cathedral when I was a kid and then I rededicated my life to Him at 18! Tell us about your family? My husband Kaleb and I were born and raised in Hawaii, but you would probably never guess that about him! We moved here after we got married and now have two of the sweetest Texas-born babies, Reign and Everleigh. What is your regular coffee order? It all depends on the weather, but a classic for me is a triple coconut milk 1 raw sugar latte! Who are the people that inspire you? My parents: more and more do I find myself awestruck at everything they did to handle raising seven kiddos. What is one thing that most people don't know about you? Kaleb and I met each other at 8 and 9 years old and we have been best friends since. We’ve known each other for 22 years now! Do you have any weird quirks? If so what are they? I HATE when my black clothes don’t have the right tint to them. Sometimes it’s a purple hue or a green hue and if I wear black on black when they don’t match, it drives me insane. What is your least favorite thing to do? Cook. You’d think having an executive chef as a father would inspire me, but I’m just not good at it. Kaleb is though, so that’s a win! Hidden Talent? MEET BRIAN About Brian Galbraith My family: On May 7, 1994, Dana and I were married and we have three incredible children. Emily (husband Jaxon), Tyler (wife Marissa), and Andrew. Ministry Role: As Care Director, I lead a team of people who love to provide direction and counsel to those who are struggling, comfort to those who have lost a loved one, and care for those who are sick. Previous job or line of work: I served Windham Assembly of God in Windham, ME for almost 17 years as Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor, and then as Lead Pastor. One thing that most people don’t know about me: That I have been on almost 20 different foreign short-term missions trips. When and where I got saved: Trinity Assembly of God in Derry, NH when I was seven. Music that moves me: I love listening to worship music and I am a big fan of jazz and old world fiddle.
