What is Oaks College?

Oaks College exists to position students for effective leadership in a variety of capacities—including church ministry, non-profit organizations, and business leadership—by providing students with hands-on leadership training combined with the opportunity to earn a 4 year degree from an accredited university (SAGU).

About Oaks College

Oaks College was founded in 1993, birthed out of a passion to give students practical leadership experience while earning their degree. From 1993 until now, Oaks College has grown to become a training ground for over 600 students who are now placed throughout the United States and the world.


Tuition and Fees

$275 per credit hour

(Usual average is 15 credits per semester)

$150 scholarship per semester

Oaks College


Jared and Jessica Parks are the Directors of Oaks College. They received their undergraduate and master’s degrees from Southeastern University (SEU). Jared earned a master’s in International Community Development and Jessica earned a master’s in Business Administration.


Originally from upstate New York (Go Bills!) and Ohio, they met at SEU and remained there for 10 years before moving to Texas to become a part of Oaks Church. At SEU, Jared served as resident director and then campus pastor to over 3,000 students each year. He oversaw student leaders, chapels, discipleship programs, and athletic spiritual formation.


Jessica served as the benefits specialist in Human Resources for over 550 staff and faculty while overseeing committees dedicated to improving student experience and professional development. They are passionate about discipleship and creating opportunities for young adults to thrive. Jared and Jessica have been married for 5 years and have two sons, Elijah and Micah.


SAGU Accreditation Statement
